Varicose and spider veins are more than cosmetic concerns—they can indicate underlying circulatory issues that, if left untreated, may affect your overall leg wellness. Gaining a clear understanding of your veins, how they function, and the factors that can cause them to malfunction is the first step toward effective management and long-term leg health.
Spider veins are small, delicate blood vessels visible just beneath the skin’s surface. They may appear red, blue, or purple and form web-like or branching patterns. While generally harmless, they can sometimes create mild irritation, including itching, tingling, or burning sensations.
