Dr. W.Y. Chung is a board-certified physician with more than 23 years of experience in venous, cosmetic, and laser medicine. As the Medical Director of Hawaii Vein Institute, he focuses on helping patients improve their health, comfort, and confidence through proven, minimally invasive treatments.
Dr. Chung holds board certifications from both the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine and the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He has worked with hundreds of patients across Hawaii, offering care for varicose veins, spider veins, venous ulcers, and other circulation-related conditions. His approach is detailed, research-based, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
Education and Training
Dr. Chung received his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Irvine and earned his medical degree from the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Illinois.
His specialized training in vein and cosmetic procedures includes:
